DENNY'S HUNGRY FOR EDUCATIONTM SCHOLARSHIP

 

Scholarship Requirements:

  • All applicants must be enrolled in an accredited educational institution (high school and college) in the United States or Puerto Rico. 
  • All applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States.
  • If an applicant under the age of 18 is selected as a potential HFE Scholarship recipient, in order to be confirmed as a winner, the student's parent or legal guardian must sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Assignment of Rights.
  • Scholarship funds awarded to winners must be used for education, such as tuition and related fees, books, supplies, and equipment required for courses at an accredited post-secondary education institution.
  • Student must possess a minimum 2.5 GPA (additional requirements may be set by partner organization). 
  • Students will need to provide a 300-word essay (high school) or 500-word essay (college) on how Denny’s can bring communities together.
  • By submitting an application, you agree that what you send will be deemed non-confidential and you grant Denny's, Inc. (along with its partner organization's administrator) the right to use, copy, modify, edit, publish, transmit, and display your submission via any media, and that Denny's Inc. will be free to use your name, image, voice, city, state, essay and other identifying information, unless you specifically request in writing that we not do so. If applicant winner is under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign the application.
  • Individual partners may have additional requirements.


AKA Business Grant Requirements:

  • All applicants must be an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated South Atlantic Region®
  • Recipient will need to provide proof of at least five years in business. Applicants will need to provide a 500-word essay on how the Denny’s HFE Business Grant will positively impact their business and how they intend to utilize the grants.
  • By submitting an application, you agree that what you send will be deemed non-confidential and you grant Denny's, Inc. (along with its partner organization's administrator) the right to use, copy, modify, edit, publish, transmit, and display your submission via any media, and that Denny's Inc. will be free to use your name, image, voice, city, state, essay and other identifying information, unless you specifically request in writing that we not do so. If applicant winner is under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign the application.


CVMSDC Business Grant Requirements:

  • All applicants must be an active member of the Carolinas-Virginia Minority Supplier Development Council in the United States or Puerto Rico. 
  • All applicants must be a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) to qualify.
  • All applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States or Puerto Rico.
  • Recipients will need to provide a 500-word essay on how the Denny’s HFE Business Grant will positively impact their business and how they intend to utilize the grant. 
  • Applicant must be able to provide proof of at least five years in business (additional requirements may be set by partner organization).
  • Scholarship recipient must select an executive education program to attend at an accredited college or university and a course of study pertaining to business in the United States or Puerto Rico.
